The Tributaries of
Alex Beckham
THE TRIBUTARIES of ALEX BECKHAM is a series of connecting novellas which begins by escorting an innocent boy of three on a downstream journey to appreciate the preciousness of life and family. The book begins in 1953 when life was quite different for children; no TV, no computers, no movies. Readers may experience nostalgia as it intertwines with the happy and sad memories of their own family experiences. And in the end, the emotional tributaries which fed into Alex Beckham’s life produces a loving and caring adult, friend, and father. I hope you will love Alex Beckham as much as he would love you. And reflect on those people who subconsciously affected your daily life.

REVIEWS / TESTIMONIALS
It contains poignant moments, exciting anticipatory moments, adventure, and intrigue. I love books that cover several generations in an anachronistic storyline. It truly is for all ages. I will definitely pass this book to my family members to enjoy!

I have read all of Robert Beckstedt’s novels and loved them. He warned me, The Tributaries of Alex Beckham is autobiographical involving his life before age sixteen. I am leery of any author’s self-interpretations of his early family life, but this one fooled me. It was deeper than expected in an innocent way. Alex fights his way through destructive events only to begin a life seeking truth and wisdom.

Nice comfortable read. A heartwarming story about family and consequences. Set in Cincinnati in the mid 1950’s with ancestral roots spanning the 1860’s that briefly round out the story. Must read!! Well written departure from his first novel “I Killed Your Mother I Think.” Which was truly engaging and a triumph.
